Dunkirk is an upcoming historical drama-thriller film written directed and co-produced by Christopher Nolan The film will star Tom Hardy Mark Rylance and Kenneth Branagh The film will be distributed by Warner Bros Pictures and is set for release on July 21st 2017
Looking first to the synopsis for the film The story is set in World War II during the evacuation of British French and Belgian troops from the northern French city of Dunkirk It has been specifically reported that the movie is supposedly a World War II film based on Operation Dynamo which was a near-miraculous evacuation of the British Expeditionary Force BEF and other Allied troops from the French seaport of Dunkirk which took place from May to June
