* المصدر عبارة عن (to + فعل) .

وفي أغلب الأحيان؛ يعمل المصدر عمل الاسم في الجملة ، وقليلاً ما يعمل عمل الصفة أو الظرف .

أمثلة :

I want to go home early today.

I prefer to go there earlier.
